What is the Team Alignment Bootcamp for Leaders all about?


In a word… Transformation!


It’s three days of guided learning, planning, and reviewing to help team leaders create a Team Alignment Master Plan that will help them transform in three, key areas:

  1. Become an even more visionary leader.

  2. Map out specific plans to help each of your direct reports improve their performances and become even better team players.

  3. Outline a strategy to purposefully shape your team culture so that it becomes a place where people want to work and contribute the very best they have to offer.


During this bootcamp, we are going to be working together as a small group of committed leaders to outline your very own Team Alignment Master Plan. That’s the whole purpose of this session.

This is a roll-up-your-sleeves-and-get-stuff-done event. You’ll outline everything you need to bring your team into total alignment following the bootcamp.

That plan will be broken down into three, key areas:

  1. YOU… (as in): 


    • Understanding and Valuing Yourself so that your personal/professional growth is built on a solid (i.e. healthy) foundation.

    • Knowing your motives and how to differentiate between those that are “clean” vs. those that are “dirty” so that you have increased confidence in your leadership abilities while also understanding how to build more trust with your team members (and even your boss!).

    • Increasing your own level of Self-Awareness (the key building block for developing Emotional Intelligence) so that you accurately understand your Strengths and Limitations, which will allow you to navigate even the most challenging of relationships with ease.

    • Outlining personal growth opportunities that you can pursue to help improve the way you connect with others and develop future leaders.

  2. Your TEAM:


    • Complete a 10-point checklist for each of your direct reports so that you can identify opportunities for growth in each of them and in the way they fit into the group as a whole.

    • Map out a plan for each person who reports to you so that you can have more purposeful and effective 1-on-1’s.

    • Identify specific communication patterns and triggers you can focus on to help inspire greater growth, commitment, and contribution. (By the way… they might not even know these exist themselves, but you will!)

    • Write out ways that you will be able to connect with each of your team members more effectively so that you can build trust while at the same time challenging them to step up and take more ownership in their work.

  3. Your Team CULTURE


    • Clarify your vision for where your team is now and where you want it to be in the near future and schedule regular action items to help you get there.

    • Create a culture building plan that is Strategic, Scheduled, and Iterative so that you are committed to consistently molding your culture to the form you want it to take (as opposed to allowing it to grow unchecked).

    • Plan your next steps and establish the rhythm of “Connect – Do – Review” through quarterly, monthly, weekly, and even daily reinforcements so that your team stays committed to the growth process. (By the way, this doesn’t have to take a lot of your time! A little planning with us in the bootcamp will go a long way, and the process itself will be simple and easy to manage).
